The clashes took place in Tal Al Sultan area in Rafah. The five suffered mild-to-moderate wounds, the Maan news agency reported.

Palestinian security sources reported that the clashes started with a family feud that later led to a gunfight between Fateh and Hamas gunmen.

Meanwhile, local sources reported that members of the Islamic Jihad and other factions intervened to stop the clashes and restored calm to the area.
