author Monday March 26, 2007 15:11author by Ghassan Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report this post to the editors

Israeli forces invaded the village of Qarawit Bani Hassan, west of Salfit city in the northern part of the West Bank, and searched several houses on Monday morning. Troops ransacked families' belongings and forced the families out of their homes during the search; eyewitnesses reported that soldiers fired sound bombs and live rounds into the searched houses. The army claimed that they were looking for what they call Wanted Palestinians. No abductions were made.
