Israeli forces invaded the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem on Friday morning and abducted two Palestinians.
Soldiers invaded the downtown city area and searched homes, then abducted Ahmad Al Nubani. In the meantime another force attacked and searched houses in the nearby village of Duha; soldiers abducted Qassem Abu Alia, aegd 29. Both were taken to unknown detention camps.

Later during the day, clashes erupted at the northern entrance of Bethlehem city. Eyewitnesses stated that local youths throw rocks at soldiers who responded by firing tear gas and sound bombs.

The northern entrance of Bethlehem, which connects the city with the city of Jerusalem, is blocked by the newly built illegal Israeli wall.
