Army invade Nablus, detains scores of Palestinians at Huwwara checkpoint

On Wednesday, Israeli forces stationed at the Howwara military checkpoint south of Nablus city in the northern part of the West Bank detained scores of Palestinian civilians. In the meantime, another force has invaded the city .

Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli soldiers stationed at Huwwara checkpoint have kept it closed since the morning, and are not allowing anyone to leave or enter the city of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses stated that scores of civilians in need of medical care, students and workers have been stranded at the checkpoint since the morning.

Soldiers claimed that they will not allow anyone under the age of 35 to cross the checkpoint. Nevertheless, soldiers are not allowing anyone to cross, even civilians who are over the age of 35, eyewitnesses reported.

Another Israeli force invaded the city of Nablus in the early hours of the morning, soldiers searched several houses in downtown Nablus. Local sources stated that soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs at civilians on the streets and inside the houses they were searching. No injuries have been reported.
