Israeli Jerusalem Police spokesperson, Micky Rosenfeld, stated that the three climbed the stairs to the floor where Rice is staying and shouted for the release of Jonathan Pollard, the Israeli spy imprisoned  by the United States for life for spying on the Pentagon for Israel.

The three protesters were arrested before they managed to get close to Rice's room, it is not clear whether Rice was there at the time of the incident.

Earlier on Monday, Rice held a meeting with Israel’s Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, and the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, at the hotel.
