Palestinian media sources reported that on Tuesday at noon the crossing that links Gaza to Egypt was closed. After chaos forced the European observer mission who monitors the checkpoint to leave the Israeli army decided to close the crossing. An excessive amount of people crossing is possibly due to the presence of delegates heading to Mecca for the Fatah-Hamas meetings.
