The An-Nasser Salah Eldin Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Resistance Committees, announced on Tuesday that it has fired a home-made shell at the Israeli town of Miftahim, to the east of Gaza Strip, in retaliation to an Israeli air strike on Gaza earlier on the day.

Israeli air forces bombarded a tunnel near the Karni commercial crossing in eastern Gaza City, under the pretext of foiling possible Palestinian attacks in Israel.

The Israeli attack on Gaza came after a Palestinian resistance attack on the southern Israeli town of Eilat on Monday, in which three Israelis were killed. Israel declared it would uphold an already shaky Palestinian-Israeli ceasefire agreement which has been in place since last November.
