Hamas blamed senior Fateh leader, Mohammad Dahlan for the attack since it considered him as “the leader of the coup against the Hamas-led government”.

Senior Hamas sources reported that the shooting at Zahar’s house is considered an attempt to assassinate him.

Zahar said that rounds of live ammunition and an RPG shell were fired at his house and vowed that the assailants will be punished.

Two rooms at Al Zahar’s house were damaged, no injuries were reported.

Hamas media sources blamed Fateh for the latest escalation of violence, and said that some Fateh leaders and members are trying to inflame the situation and “drag the area into civil war”.
