Dr. Khalid Al Najjar, head of the Al Aqsa Hospital told the Maan News Agency that the youth Mahran Zakariyya Abu Al Maseer, 17, died of a gunshot injury in his stomach.

The youth was shot by troops stationed east of Dir Al Balah.

Palestinian medics said that the army handed them the body of Al Maseer, and informed them that two other residents were injured, and were taken prisoner.

The three residents were standing near a dumpster east of Dir Al Balah, local sources reported, military bulldozers were present in the area and were bulldozing lands.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed that the three tried to sneak into Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli online daily, Haaretz, reported that Palestinian security officials said that the three are apparently manual laborers trying to illegally enter Israel through the “security fence” to find work.
