Israeli army troops shot dead, Itaf Zalat 45, from the West Bank city of Tulkarem as they invaded the city on Monday morning looking for claimed wanted Islamic Jihad operative, eyewitnesses reported.
Troops surrounded, backed byu at least 20 military vehicles and a helicopter, her house and demanded the occupants to come out; Zalat was killed as she received a bullet to her head when troops opened random fire at the house.

Troops of the Duvdevan assassination unit were looking for Eyad Abdullah.  Some reports say that he is son-in-law of Zalat. Palestinian sources said Abdullah was arrested.

Two of Zalat’s daughters, Ahlam and Ansam suffered wounded to the lower body as a result of the random fire.

The mother and the daughters were taken to Thabet Thabet hospital where the mother was pronounced dead.  The daughters’ injuries were reported moderate.

The Israeli army invaded several other areas in the West Bank and arrested some Palestinian on Monday morning.  Twelve were arrested in Hebron, and at least six were arrested in Nablus.
