A Palestinian medical reported, on Thursday at night, that Israeli soldiers shot and killed a nine-year old Palestinian child near the Kissufim Crossing in the central Gaza Strip.
The child was identified as Aya Al Astal.
A Palestinian security source reported that Israeli informed the Palestinian District Coordination office that soldiers fired at a "resident who came close the security fence".
The army initially claimed that soldiers fired at a resident who attempted to infiltrate into Israel through the crossing area.
A medical source at the Al Aqsa hospital reported that the child was hit by several live rounds.
